Testimonials 2018

My daughter has been part of Wexford Acting Studio for almost 2 years now, including participating in the annual musical production. She absolutely loves it! All of her classmates and cast mates are friendly and welcoming. Miss Sarah's passion and energy for musical theater combined with her generous and open teaching skills provide a happy learning environment for my daughter. We have tried other acting studios but none have been as much fun for my daughter as Wexford Acting Studio. She absolutely loves to go and has found a home there. I have never seen her so engaged and excited about anything. I am so grateful to Wexford Acting Studio for providing this opportunity for her.

My daughter has been enrolled at Wexford Acting Studio for the last 5 years. It amazes me each year to see how much, and how quickly Sarah is able to teach her students. Her experience, passion and knowledge are unmatched. Miss Sarah puts her heart and soul into each and every class, showcase, summer camp and musical performance. Wexford Acting Studio's fall musicals each year are truly world class productions! Sarah and her staff create a welcoming and enriching environment for all levels and their families. I look forward to watching my daughter perform with Wexford Acting Studio for years to come.

Wexford Acting Studio is a second home for my son, who will be starting his eighth year of theater training there. The experience of growing and learning through the years has been exceptional for him, as the studio allows for such a wide variety of learning opportunities. First and foremost are the weekly classes, which my son cannot wait to attend. He particularly enjoys the acting technique lessons and games, and the improvisational tool-building. Secondly, participating in the fully produced fall musical is one of the key highlights of my son's year. He absolutely lives for these shows, which are presented with a live orchestra and with Miss Sarah's high professional standards. He also loves singing in the spring showcase, another fantastic venue for performing. Thirdly, my son has made lifelong friends at the studio, and it is such a pleasure to witness these strong, laughter-filled relationships that are based on mutual respect and a commitment to the importance of theater arts. In addition, he has been blessed to be able to mentor the younger students, with the compassion that comes from remembering that he was once one of the little ones himself. I am deeply grateful for WAS and Miss Sarah.

Our seven-year-old daughter has just completed her second year at Wexford Acting Studio. I am really happy with her development under the care of Miss Sarah. I believe that having control and confidence in the use of your body and voice is extremely important. Public speaking is bound to come up in everyone's life at some point and it is such a benefit to have practice at it and feel self-assured.

Miss Sarah lovingly creates a protected space in her studio where children can practice these skills through various drama games and exercises. My daughter greatly enjoys her weekly classes. There are also opportunities provided to do solos or duets. My daughter and her friend teamed up to perform a number from "Annie" for a showcase. Miss Sarah coached them personally and really helped them dig deeper into their understanding of the piece and Annie's character. She also gave them permission to experiment with being louder and bolder. I find this very valuable because there is a strong pressure on girls to be polite, quiet, and apologetic for the space they take up. While I do want my daughter to be polite, I want her to be able to be loud when necessary and confident in her value.

Miss Sarah is a real "pro" who knows what she is doing. She has high standards and expects the kids to meet them (showing up to rehearsals on time, not making noise when rehearsal is going on, knowing their lines, etc.) There are kids in her program who are the star of their high school's musical. However, there are also kids who are not. I really sense that she values each student individually as a human being and does her best to help develop them towards their individual potentials.

My daughter was also in the musical last fall and I like the fact that she has been a part of a real theater production and will feel like she belongs and can do it in the future once she reaches middle school and real school plays start being done.

I really feel that Wexford Acting Studio is a wonderful place for all types of students. Miss Sarah has the knowledge, experience, and talent to train and mentor students who are Broadway-bound, but she also has the skill and empathy to train students of all abilities to help them improve their confidence, poise, empathy, public speaking, singing, dancing, and other related skills. My impression is that all students are valued and respected here.

I'm really grateful for all of the confidence and experience my daughter has gained with being on stage and using her voice in front of people. Parents at her elementary school have said things to me like "Wow, she did such a good job at Poetry Day, she used to be so quiet." My daughter loves going to her acting classes and I'm really happy we found Wexford Acting Studio.

My daughter has attended Wexford Acting Studio for a year, and has found her passion. Since I am new to the acting scene, I didn't know what to expect. I have been very happy and feel that my daughter is getting a great experience. Last year, my daughter took practice so seriously that she made sure not to miss. My family and friends were so surprised at the quality of the performance and are looking forward to seeing her perform again. I would definitely suggest sending your child to Wexford Acting Studio.
