Sarah McGraw, Instructor
Sarah McGraw holds a bachelor of arts degree in theatre from The College of Wooster and a masters degree in acting and directing from Miami University of Ohio. She has performed in opera, regional, stock, repertory, and international theatres, including touring across Europe, South America, and the British Isles as "The Mistress" in Evita, "Maria" in West Side Story, and "Christine" in Phantom of The Opera. Some of her favorite roles in U.S. regional theatres have included "Guenivere" in Camelot, "Sarah" in Guys & Dolls, the title role in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, "Eliza" in My Fair Lady, "Laurey" in Oklahoma!, and "Julie" in Showboat.
Sarah has directed a number of large-scale productions for regional theater, including Carousel, Brigadoon, Disney's Beauty & the Beast, and the female version of Neil Simon's The Odd Couple. For nine years, she served as stage director for the North Allegheny Senior High musicals: Oklahoma!, Bye-Bye, Birdie, Beauty and the Beast, Cats, Les Miserables, Peter Pan, Footloose, Shrek,The Musical, and 42nd Street. Sarah directed Pine Richland Middle School's production of Annie, Jr. She has been the muscial director at Pine Richland High School for the past five years where she has done Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oklahoma!, Guys and Dolls, The Addams Family, and High School Musical. Sarah has also been very active in the Acts of God Drama Ministry at Ingomar United Methodist Church, where she has directed Beauty and the Beast, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and performed in several productions of Another Christmas Story, as well as numerous other dramas during Lent and Advent. Sarah's Wexford Acting Studio productions include collaborations with Wexford Dance Academy, and book musicals such as Seussical (twice), Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Beauty and the Beast (twice), The Wizard of Oz, Cats, The Music Man, Oklahoma!, Les Misérables® School Edition, High School Musical, and ELF, The Musical. "Miss Sarah" also directs two studio showcases each year; in the spring (May) and at the end of musical theater summer camp.
